Create and Morderate | TAKING INITIATIVE Summit
Sophie organized the Alpine Youth Challenge Summit and moderate a discussion panel on the theme of “Taking Initiative” at the African Union Mission to the UN in NYC.
Distinguished speakers, which include: Olympians, UN Ambassadors, Award-Winning Artists, and Corporate Executives. The Alpine Youth Challenge Summit supports United Nations Academic Impact in Action.

Sophie partnered with the Action Against Hunger to leverage her climb to Mount Everest to raise funds and much-needed attention for the plight of millions of malnourished worldwide.
She was honored at the Restaurants Against Hunger Spring Benefit in 2008 in recognition of her commitments to reducing global hunger.
